Opening remarks

(akad nikah means marriage ceremony performed by the groom in the presence ofthe penghulu-muslim leader-government religious official)

AKAD NIKAH NARRATION FOR A MASTER OF CEREMONY

1. Opening

          Good afternoon and welcome dearest ladies and gentlemen, we are honored to have you here at the akad nikah procession of... and...

           Let's lift the palms of our hands and let's always praise God Ilahi Rabbi who has guided our steps to attend the procession of ijab kabul between ....., the daughter of.... and.... the son of... .

           Today,saturday 28 juli 2012, insyaallah there will be a procession of akad nikah between ....and...For a moment,let us pray so that the whole procession runs well.Let us bow and read Basmallah "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim".

• We would like to invite the penghulu,......,to come to the desk of akad nikah
• We would like to invite the bride and the dridegroom to sit down on the akad nikah chair in front of the penghulu.
• We would also like to invite wali nikah  (note: wali nikah is a male relative legally responsible for a bride, usually her father or sometimes she uses wali hakim, a person who acts on behalf of the father of the bride)
• We would also like to onvite the father of the bridegroom or his representative to come forward.
• We would like to invite two witnesses ti sit down here.(the witnee from the bride's family is...)

• Ijab kabul of the bridegroom and the wali nikah.
• Sighat Taklik Reading and the wali nikah
• Praying by the penghulu
• Brideprice and wedding ring giving

               Praising is always given to ilahi Rabbi, when Syahadat reverberates in the wedding moment, when the purity of the souls is related beutifully with love and eternality. The most Holy of Allah has created his creatures to become husband and wife,to keep promise in front of the greatness of Ilahi Rabbi to look after the holy relationship and the follow Sunnah Rasul to make sakinah,mawaddah, and warrahmah family.(note : Syahadat means the profession of faith" that there is bo god other than Allah and that the prophet Muhammad is his messenger".Sunah Rasul is optional,but it is meritorious if it is performed in pious deeds or prayers)

     5.     Both bride and bridegroom will kneel in front of their parents

                Mother,father, wea re going to unite, to move our steps together to the wedding gate. With your blessings, we are ready to step.Thank you for the very beautiful life, for our unforgettable childhood. We still remember them when we were teenagers.Thank you very much for everything,mother. Thank you very much for your advice,father.Thank you very much for your sincere love.Thank you,mother. Thank you,father.
